Hey guys. So in this video, I want to talk a little bit about the process of transitioning from being a generalist to being a specialist. And if you run a digital marketing agency and you’re in this group, you’ve heard me talk a lot about the benefits of being niche focused, right? How it makes you more attractive to the prospects you want to serve, how it simplifies your offering and helps to accelerate your growth. But sometimes we get stuck. We’re like, yeah, I get the idea. I know that’s going to help. But how do I make the transition? How do I transition from my generalist agency, where I’ve got clients and a lot of different verticals, to being in one particular niche.
But what I’m going to suggest is, find the clients that you’ve had the best results with, create some case studies, get those clients, let them know that you’re thinking about becoming the expert in that space, get their buy in to kind of help serve support and kind of promote you into that space. And then focus all your time and your attention, knocking it out of the park in that particular vertical, so that you can go to the market and say, Look, I work with clients just like yours. These are the results that I’ve produced. This is what I can do for you. And this is how much it’s going to cost right and you can start to position yourself as the expert.
