Running an SEO or a PPC agency…
It’s like selling money to people because the pitch is pretty straightforward.
But the questions are…
Do they buy it?
Do they believe in the value of your services?
Do they have enough urgency to pull the trigger and actually say YES to you?
If not, then you’ve got to give them a reason to.
You’ve got to agitate them to take action in what you’re offering NOW.
And there’s nothing more agitating than showing them a competitor who’s doing better than them.
So, what you want to do is generate reports showing industry data…
And highlighting the fact that your prospect could be doing better.
Now, there are two data points I’d like to propose you start with:
  • Page Load Speed
  • Revenue Index
If you’re doing SEO services, web design, or web development…
Page Load Speed is a crucial data point you can sell with.
If you could prepare a report showing the page load speeds of your prospects’ competitors…
As well as the average in their industry…
You could tell pitch your services by opening with:
“Hey guys, look at how you compare to the industry average in terms of page load speed.
Now, look at how your competitors are holding up.
Wouldn’t you like to move up this list?
I’d say that would grab anyone’s attention right off the bat.
And so would an industry report showing the revenue index of all players in a certain industry!
Showing a prospect how much more their competitors are taking home in revenue…
It would be enough to trigger anyone into investing more money so they could catch up.
