Picture this.

You’ve just signed a new client.

The sale is done.

The form is filled out.

You’re off to the races…right?

Not so fast.

In the brief window between “signing the agreement” and “seeing the results…”

There’s a lot more at stake than most agency owners realize.

Your new client is excited – but they’re also on edge.

After all, it isn’t just a transaction for them.

It’s a leap of faith that can impact their business.

And that leap comes with doubts.

They’re wondering if they made the right decision.

Perhaps they’ve been burned before – maybe more than once.

And if all they get from you is a DocuSign and a welcome form…

That confidence in your agency can disappear fast.

This is why a rock-solid onboarding experience isn’t just “nice to have” – it’s essential.

Here’s what we do (and it’s made a measurable difference):

#1. Send a physical welcome basket

Snacks, swag, a handwritten note…

Give them something that makes the relationship between them and your agency real.

#2. Mail out a branded starter kit.

Think roadmap, workbook, even a copy of your book (if you have one).

It makes your strategy tangible.

#3. Follow up immediately.

Send a text or an email.

Call them within 24 hours.

Just don’t leave them wondering what’s next.

#4. Offer hands-on help.

Instead of waiting on login forms, hop on Zoom.

Help them find their credentials right there on the call.

These things don’t take long, but they matter. A lot.

Because if your client feels seen, heard, and supported in Week 1…

They’ll stick with your agency longer.

Plus, they’ll trust that results take time.

Even better?

They’ll refer more business down the line.

Remember, retaining clients starts before the first campaign goes live.

Nail the welcome experience – and the rest gets easier.
