Strategy #1: Cold Outreach

Cold outreach can be as simple as getting a list of prospects and calling them. Or, you can take that list, call them, reach out via mail, and launch drip campaigns. There’s a spectrum of effectiveness of cold outreach.

If you just got a list of every plumber and email blast them, your results will be practically nil. Instead, you should join the national association in your niche and get names, mailing addresses, email addresses, and go to events.

Then you can drop something in the mail for them or send a customized video. Cold outreach can be extremely effective this way. Your focus must be customized messaging to a qualified list.

Strategy #2: Marketed Lead Generation

Marketed lead generation is running Facebook ads, and Google ads, setting up retargeting campaigns, and building funnels so someone can schedule and become a client. A lot of our business comes from marketed lead generation, specifically Facebook ads and retargeting.

How do we target ideal prospects on Facebook? We put out good content and strategically reach out to prospects. Once a prospect is pixeled, you can serve them Facebook and Youtube ads and retarget them back into your funnel. This is a powerful way to get prospects to know, like, and trust you. It can be a perpetual pipeline of high-quality clients for your business.

Strategy #3: Inbound Marketing

Inbound marketing is the idea of putting out such great content that you get discovered on blog posts, YouTube, Podcasts, and more. We share valuable content in the form of webinars and syndicate it in numerous ways. You can load it on YouTube, send an email blast to your database, and get it on your website. It creates numerous ways people can enter your funnel.

Strategy #4: Associations and Speaking

One of the most powerful things you can do is find a national association in your niche. We found sub-groups within those associations and joined them as an affiliate partner. You get access to their list, get added to their list of recommended providers, and get the opportunity to participate in events.

If you can get access to the list, reach out strategically, pixel those prospects so they see you on Facebook, put out great content, and show up at their live events you will become known in your niche. They will see you as the go-to expert in your space.

Find opportunities to speak at those events or put on webinars for the organization on how to generate better results with online marketing. When you do, you will become an expert in the niche. This should be the baseline of your agency.

Strategy #5: Joint Ventures

You’re just one joint venture away from a seven-figure agency.

Connect with influencers that sell to or have relationships with your ideal client. In the world of plumbing and HVAC, one of the big coaches in our industry is Michael Agugliaro from CEO Warrior.

What if I were to align with him and he endorsed me for digital marketing? What if he allowed me to speak to masterminds or run webinars? Joining him would be massively impactful.

But you need clients, case studies, and clout to go after joint ventures. Once you do, find a way to build a mutually beneficial relationship. It might be revenue sharing. Maybe you refer business to them. Maybe they’re looking for the best of the best to serve their members.
