I'm Kim Walker with Shop Marketing Pros, and our niche is the independent automotive repair industry. Only about a year ago, we came in with our monthly recurring revenue just around two hundred and eighty thousand dollars, and our client number was about a hundred and sixty. Today, about a year later, here we are. We are just around three hundred and thirty monthly recurring revenue and just over two hundred clients.
I think the biggest change for our agency after joining Seven Figure Agency is really that we are now learning from and contributing to a group of agency owners just like us who are on the monthly recurring model but also in a very specific niche. There's also an incredible amount of training that comes with this idea generation and just support for our whole team, not just our leadership team. The impact on our personal life as agency owners after joining Seven Figure Agency is really hard to measure because it's kind of immeasurable in that our team is growing not only in number, but it's also growing in how they each individually are growing and moving people into new positions that are now taking tasks and projects and things off of our plate, allowing my husband and I to live our life, travel and enjoy and really just do the things that we really wanna do. I came to the intensive personally because my role is HR, and a lot of what they talk about is everything with processes and idea generation and finding out what other agency owners are doing.
But for me in the HR role, I'm really looking to connect specifically with people in that space and get some ideas on some things that I want to do better at in the world of human resources. So I'm gonna leave here with those connections, ideas, and resources. Attending the intensive is helping us to continue the growth of our agency and meet our goals because just in the last couple of hours, we've gotten some new ideas with regard to lead generation and finding prospects and nurturing them through AI. At this stage of our business, being a member of Seven Figure Agency has given us the resources and, really just connections to other agencies that have experienced some of the same things, but helping us further along our processes and our systems to ensure that we are not just meeting our next goals but exceeding them as well.
If you're an agency owner feeling stuck like we kind of were, I think that you should really consider coming and being a part of this great organization. There's such genuine care and concern from the members here, but also the staff and the leadership. I say come check it out. You'll see why you should be a member.
Where They Started
Shop Marketing Pros came into Seven Figure Agency about a year before this interview at roughly $280,000 in monthly recurring revenue with about 160 clients, all in the independent automotive repair industry. Today Kim puts it at around $330,000 a month and just over 200 clients.
The Change That Mattered
What Kim names as the biggest shift is not a funnel or an ad strategy. It is being in a room of agency owners who run the same model, on monthly recurring revenue, inside a defined niche. Learning from them and contributing back to them changed how the agency makes decisions.
The second piece is depth of training that reaches past the leadership team. Kim is deliberate about this: the training and the idea generation get used by the whole team, not just the two owners. That is why the growth reads as team capacity rather than owner heroics.
The Personal Side She Calls Immeasurable
Kim describes the impact on her own life as hard to measure. The team is growing in number, but more importantly people are growing individually and moving into new positions, taking tasks and projects off the owners’ plates. That is what lets her and her husband travel and actually live their life while a 200-client agency keeps running.
Why She Comes to the Intensives
Kim’s role in the agency is human resources, so she works the room differently than a founder chasing lead generation tactics. She comes to connect with the people who own HR inside other agencies and to collect ideas and resources for the parts of hiring, onboarding and people development she wants to do better. She is straightforward that she leaves with connections, ideas and resources, in that order.
That does not mean she skips the growth material. She points out that within the first couple of hours of the event they had already picked up new ideas on lead generation and on nurturing prospects with AI. At this stage the value is less about finding the model and more about tightening the systems so the next set of goals gets beaten rather than just met.
What made it work
- Stay in a room of owners running your exact model, recurring revenue inside one niche.
- Push the training past the leadership team so capacity grows across the whole company.
- Promote from within. New internal positions are what pull work off the owners.
- Send the person who owns the function, not just the founder, to the in-person events.
- Keep tightening systems after seven figures. The goal shifts from hitting targets to exceeding them.
Scaling Past 150 Clients?
Kim grew Shop Marketing Pros past 200 clients by building the team rather than working harder. That is the work we coach.
